What Lantern Offers
Lantern Psychology Centre was designed to offer beautiful, calming and light-filled room rentals for psychologists and other mental health professionals in private practice.
The benefits of joining Lantern Psychology Centre include:
Purpose built therapy room rentals
Spacious and sound-proofed rooms which include modern furnishings, dimmable lights, indoor plants, whiteboards and individual air filter machines.
Consultation for new practitioners
Access to consultation sessions with Dr Christie on starting and growing your private practice, including fee setting, client acquisition and practice management.
Comprehensive practice support
All-inclusive access to shared practice support facilities, such as HICAPS, online faxing, high speed internet, photocopying, security cameras and secure document disposal.
Collaborative & supportive community
Common areas and in-house messaging tools implemented to support a community of practitioners to share a workplace and resources, while enjoying the independence of private practice.

Psychologist Characteristics
We welcome warm, supportive, professional, self-motivated psychologists and other mental health workers, who are life-long learners, and have a sense of humour (or at least can hold themselves lightly).
The specific therapeutic orientation of our therapists is not important, although it is essential that psychologists are trained in evidence-based therapies and practice.
We are also open to welcoming newly registered psychologists and those moving towards clinical endorsements. Lantern is home to a number of board-endorsed supervisors who offer supervision.
Therapy Rooms,
Availability and Amenities
Each office is designed to support the mental health and professional development of practitioners, as well as the comfort and confidentiality of clients. Therapy rooms are spacious, modern, and filled with natural light. Rooms are available at both locations depending on specific days and needs. Rent includes high-speed NBN internet, HICAPS, paper-less fax, scanner, photocopier, and coffee/tea.
Shared Resources and
Communication Tools
Practitioners have access to a secure shared space for referrals and a secure in-house messaging tool for easy, quick communication. These tools help foster collaboration while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
Common room and break areas
Both locations feature a common room for breaks and meals, encouraging interaction between practitioners during the workday. The room offers a relaxing space for rest and connection with peers.
Reception, parking, and accessibility
There is no dedicated receptionist, but mentoring on online systems to reduce administration is available. A security camera in the waiting area makes it easy to monitor client arrivals. Both centres offer easy walking access to free parking, though please note that both are located upstairs with no lift access.
