Dr Beth Mah

Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist

Dr Beth Mah is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist who provides trauma and attachment informed psychotherapy.

Dr Mah has worked extensively in adult, perinatal and family psychiatry settings. After working with vulnerable populations (such as those affected by transgenerational trauma and child protection issues), she completed training in numerous novel trauma interventions. This includes training in Eye-movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Internal Family Systems and other novel trauma therapies.

To be able to gain a Medicare rebate for sessions with Dr Mah, your GP will need to write a standard referral to a specialist doctor indicating they wish assessment and ongoing management. Do NOT ask your GP to complete a Mental Health Care Plan nor write the number of sessions requested by the GP as Medicare only requires this if you are referred to a psychologist, not a psychiatrist. Send the referral to: reception@drbethmah.com for triage and consideration.
